Travel isn't about ticking off places. It's about touching something within you.

Hi, I'm Rosie. I design journeys across Indochina that slow you down, connect you to real people and places, and send you home a little more yourself.

My belief

I believe travel can change the way we see the world, and in doing so, the way we see ourselves, the people we love, and the nature that holds us. A journey should be a way of learning: shedding old layers, asking why, and coming home a stronger, kinder version of yourself.

With love, Rosie

Travel with purpose

Every trip starts with one question: why are you going? A clear intention turns an ordinary holiday into a memory your family keeps for life.

Real connection

With local people, with nature, with the stories you collect along the way, and sometimes with the person you'd forgotten you were.

Room to breathe

No rushed checklists. I build space into every day so you can wander, rest, and actually feel the place you came so far to see.

Meet Rosie

A travel planner who listens before she plans

I'm Rosie Tran, a travel planner based in Ho Chi Minh City with nine years in hospitality and tourism. Before planning journeys, I founded a chain of Airbnb homes and boutique hotels in Vietnam, so I learned first-hand what makes a stay feel like home.

Today I'm the founder of Connek Trip, a licensed tour operator, and co-founder of Mytournary. I've personally advised on more than 900 tours across Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand for solo travelers, couples, families and groups of friends. I'm also the admin of Itinerary: Share the best trip and travel tips, a community where travelers swap real stories and practical advice.

Six years ago, Mira asked me to plan a family trip for her mother's birthday: the first time in over 20 years that she and all her siblings could be together. Not long after, her mother passed away. That journey became one of her family's most treasured memories.

That's why I always ask about your purpose first.

How I design an itinerary, step by step

This is the method I've refined over 900+ tours and teach in my Travel Planner course. Start with PACK to decide if and when you can go, then follow the ABCs 10 Keys to build the trip itself.

Step 1 The PACK recipe: before you plan

P

Papers

Passport validity, visas, e-visas, visa on arrival, exemptions and entry rules. Check official government sites and active travel communities for the latest updates.

A

Amount

Your budget sets your style: luxury, mid-range or backpacking. Look at past trips, tour package prices and travelers like you. There's no wrong budget, only an unclear one.

C

Calendar

When can you realistically go in the next 6 to 12 months, and for how long? A 5 to 7 day trip is wonderful too. You can always come back.

K

Knowledge

Before planning details, check safety and real traveler experiences: arrival statistics, official advisories, then honest stories on Reddit and Facebook groups.

Step 2 The ABCs 10 Keys: building the trip

A is for Aim

What's the purpose of your trip?

Adventure, rest, culture, or something deeper: a birthday, a reunion, a fresh start after a hard year. When you travel with a clear intention, every other choice gets easier and the trip becomes unforgettable.

Before anything else, write one sentence: “I'm taking this trip because…”

Then: finish the plan and get ready

Check your budget, sort a SIM or eSIM, note local tips, pack medicines, save emergency contacts, and travel kindly.

  • Respect local customs and dress codes
  • Support local businesses
  • Ask before photographing people
  • Say no to single-use plastic
  • Learn “hello” and “thank you”
  • Avoid unethical animal tourism
